Wow what a week! I've finally bought my tickets to France. Noname & I leave on April 5th. That's real soon. I was still in a funk with the sleep and cleaning, but then I received a call from the apartment complex on Tuesday night. They were showing the apartment Wed at 4:30. Well 4 big garbage bags and 3 laundries later, the apartment was okay to show. In the process of cleaning, I removed some plastic from the sliding glass window in the living room. Suddenly, out from behind the couch a mouse makes a dash for another spot. All I could think was how long it would take me to catch the mouse, but no fear....Noname's here. Before I could turn around, Noname already had caught the mouse and puncture perfect death blows into the mouse's neck. As Pace said,"Thank God we were able to keep 3 of her teeth in or she would have gummed it to death". I was very impressed with the speed, accuracy, and willingness to give it to me immediately. She's such a good girl.
So now I'm down to the packing and sending. This weekend I'm going to send my first batch of stuff to France via US Postal. I can't believe how fast things are going.
I still made time for my weekly movie. This week was "V for Vendetta". It was an okay movie with very obvious suggestions to 9/11, terrorists, torturing prisoners, and the whole premise as to what is a revolutionary vs. a terrorist. The FedEx guys had recommended the movie "The Hills have Eyes", which they said was "way" better than "Saw". So I caught that movie as well. Lots of good gore, my "Ewe, oh man!" Richter scale was pretty high.
This past week I performed improv for Emily Girl Scout badge( something like the Eagle Scout badge)on Saturday, then Improv-a-go-go on Sunday with my Tabula Rasa group. I was okay, but then on Tues night with my 6 ring group we were especially organic and good. I very happy that my "Women over 30" group is going to come see me perform this Sunday.
Pace is adjusting very well in Lyon. It seems that the more you are around the French, the more you can understand them. Also, now at some of the stores where he is a regular, the people who work there talk to him (in French)and greet him with smiles. I only hope I get to that point when I live there. Although my standards are that when I walk in a store, the people bow before me (just kidding).
So that's the story for this week. By next week I hope to be living on the clothes and this I will carry on the plane.
A bientot
